MCDADE PARK
Another great park and very dog friendly. This 38 acres park has a 3/8 mile paved walking trail around the park which takes you around through the trees, past the Disc Golf area, and around the sports and play areas. The park requires dogs to be leashed at all times.
Lots of areas to walk around
Paved Trails: There is a paved trail that walk around the park 3/8 mile.
Note: No water for dogs (except inside bathrooms), Mutt Mitts are available.
Disc Golf: What fun that you could have with your dog coming along. Play the 18 holes of Disc golf and play along the way with your pooch. Through the woods and open areas – this is a wonderful park to enjoy with your dog. Bring your supply of frisbees/discs. The course begins on the east end of the park right off FM 1488
The Park: There are restroom facilities with water inside at the sinks – these are the only areas we found water. Plenty of parking throughout. Bring your bike – if you have trained your dog to run along side on a leash. Enjoy a picnic with the family and pooch. Have fun with your dog and the entire family because McDade Park is dog friendly. Mutt Mitts are available at this park near the restroom.
The Creek: McDade park is near the creek which offers some more added fun for you and your dog. The creek is east of the park where the disc golf area starts. Check it out – there is a sandy area and the water flow depends on rain.
